I had a hard time with the end of the book, too, as the author died before finishing, and his son was left to stitch together letters and journal entries to account for the remaining four years.

In a more personal vein, his lively autobiography, written soon before his death but published thereafter, captures the spirit and excitement of the early decades of the Restoration. Brother Pratt was an example of a hard worker that truly gave his life to Christ.
