He was more than just a chip off the krntz workaholic’s block — he was positively lusting after Jessie’s inheritance to build his own business empire! Usually the women had interesting jobs and all these stories are set in Washington state. The characters would feel flat.
Please add Cover 2 16 Oct 20, Not one of my favorites. The romance was probably the best of any of Krentz I’ve read so far. A poor rich girl with mush for brains, so sensitive she’s unable to keep jobs plural. The plot of the story was a big part of the book, but it wasn’t an overwhelming one.
But I was emotionally connected to them both. The heroines are vulnerable but still strong, often in ways they don’t realize at first.
In this story our heroine is constitutionally incapable of holding a job, not because she’s not hard working, but simply because she cares so much about helping people she tends to lose sight of doing her job and soon gets fired. You may also like. After jayme a few thousand romance books alone in the last five years I have frankly become jaded; also bored with this genre.
Awesome book Jayne ann Krentz. Slow beginning, but improves in second half. I can’t phantom the romance either. Paperbackpages.
