Start it does, just from a different direction than expected, and the narrator walks into this setup. The author has captured the Begum’s frustration and the resulting events in a sympathetic, almost comical manner, ismwt the eyes of a child that does not completely understand what she’s witnessing, and the story, though short, is a good read, with many things that make you think.
