So the book fails on that count. Braden Granville may be a famous lover But at a ball she discovers her fiance ravishing another woman and everything she believed about love and marriage is upturned. One star is maybe a bit harsh because Caroline is admittedly quite funny and the half of the plot which isn’t ridiculous is kind of clever, but Braden is possibly the blandest hero in all of historical romance, and most of this book is carried out under the umbrella of infidelity, so I’m going to do it anyway.

Braden entered into his engagement to Jacquelyn in good faith.

One’s brains were sucked away, or turned gelatinous. Her mother offers no sympathy and instead castigates Caroline for not meeg herself attractive enough to her fiance. I would not recommend it if you don’t like the idea of infidelity appearing in your romance novel.
